Excellence in Large Business: A Win for Our Patients and Our Team

At Joint Vision Orthopaedic Group, we’ve always believed that when you put people and patients at the centre, you can build something truly special. On Friday night, that belief was recognised in a big way.

At the 2025 IMB Bank Illawarra Business Awards, we were honoured to receive the award for Excellence in Large Business — a recognition that belongs to our entire team and to every patient who has trusted us on their care journey.

Founded in 2020, Joint Vision has grown into one of the largest musculoskeletal clinics in NSW, bringing together surgeons, allied health professionals, imaging, rehabilitation and research — all under one roof.

This integrated model means faster treatment, seamless collaboration, and ultimately better outcomes for our patients.

A team achievement

CEO Wynter Dares said the award was a proud moment for the organisation.

“This recognition is really a tribute to our people. From our surgeons and allied health professionals to our researchers and support staff, they are the ones who bring Joint Vision to life every day. This is their achievement,” he said.

Director of Allied Health and Research, Dr Laura Clarke, said the win validated the organisation’s culture of innovation and collaboration.

“At Joint Vision we believe culture is our greatest strength, and innovation is our responsibility to the community we serve. To be recognised in this way shows that our model of care truly makes a difference,” she said.

Director of Clinical Services, Dr Meghan Dares, added: “We’re proud to show that Wollongong can deliver world-class healthcare — and even more proud to call this community our home base as we continue to grow.”

Recognising Joint Vision’s clinical leaders

The award also highlights the expertise of our surgical team.

Dr Sheraz Anjum reflected on what drives Joint Vision forward:

“Every patient is unique, and every case is different. Our integrated approach means we’re not just treating conditions — we’re working together to restore lives,” he said.

Dr Anil Goudar echoed that sentiment:

“What excites me is seeing the whole pathway of care under one roof. From diagnosis through to surgery and rehab, patients don’t fall through the cracks. That’s what makes this model so powerful,” he said.

Looking ahead at orthopaedic care

Joint Vision’s success comes amid a period of rapid growth. We’ve recently doubled our clinical footprint in Wollongong, established the Joint Vision Orthopaedic Research Institute in partnership with the University of Wollongong, and are actively planning future expansion across the region and beyond.

Above all, this award reminds us why we do what we do: to give patients the best possible care, in the most seamless and supportive way.

We’re honoured to be recognised — but even more motivated to keep building, innovating, and caring.
