CEO Wynter Dares on the Benefits of Having One Orthopaedic Team Under One Roof

When Joint Vision Orthopaedic Group first opened its doors, the goal wasn’t simply to create another orthopaedic clinic, it was to completely rethink how patients experience their healthcare journey.

CEO Wynter Dares said the founding idea for team-based orthopaedic treatment came from a simple but powerful question: Why can’t patients access everything they need in one place?

“We looked at how health services were delivered in Australia, and we felt they could be made much better,” Wynter said.

“If you look at how most orthopaedic surgeons operate, it’s very much surgery is all that is provided.”

When Joint Vision launched in August 2020, it set out to change that model.

A Complete, Integrated Approach to Orthopaedic Care

Instead of expecting patients to navigate multiple clinics, providers, and appointments, Joint Vision was built on a “one-roof” philosophy — bringing all essential services together to improve outcomes and reduce stress.

“The reason behind Joint Vision was really to be able to provide an enhanced level of experience for patients,” he said.

“We wanted patients to have access to everything they need so they can focus on getting better.”

Today, the group includes specialist surgeons alongside a comprehensive allied health team made up of:

  • Physiotherapists

  • Podiatrists

  • Exercise physiologists

  • Osteopaths

  • A specialised nursing team for postoperative care and wound management

This collaborative environment ensures every patient receives coordinated, consistent, and personalised support — from diagnosis through to recovery.

A Team Built Around the Patient

For Wynter, the model isn’t just convenient — it’s transformative.

“Why not have that in one location where everyone works together around the patient?” he said.

“The patient shouldn’t have to worry about coordinating their care. They should be able to focus solely on getting better.”

Supporting People to Move Better, Live Better

Whether it’s pain, injury, or reduced mobility, Joint Vision’s mission remains the same: help people move better, live freely, and recover with confidence.

“If you’re in pain, have experienced an injury, or want to move better and freer, come see us here at Joint Vision Orthopaedic Group,” Wynter said.
